It is with sadness that we, the family of Isabel Fraser, announce her passing at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 in her 90th year. A devoted member of East Hawkesbury United Church. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Fraser (2005). Loving mother of David Fraser (Leona), Donnie Fraser (Mary), Betty MacCrimmon (Norman), Dorothy Fraser, Neil Fraser (Joyce), Kathy Fraser-Collins (Fred) and Andy Fraser (Karen). She was the loving grandma of 15 grandchildren: Rodney Fraser (Carol), Janet Fraser (Mark), Flora Wingrove (Brian), Duncan Fraser, Margaret Ann Wharton (Colin), Kent MacCrimmon, Rebecca MacCrimmon (Donald), Janie Kennedy (Jeremy), Johnathon Ardington (Denise), Steven Ardington (Katie), Kyle Fraser (Samantha), Jessica Fraser (Brett), Koryne Fraser (Charles), Kendal Mansfield and Devan Mansfield (Arlena). Cherished great grandma to Ryan and Jake Wingrove, Rachel Fraser, Hailey Wharton, Spencer Ardington and Kaylee Mansfield. She is survived by her in-laws: Rodderick Fraser (late Marion), Kenneth Fraser (Ruth), Margaret Kerr (late Jack) and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents: William McMeekin and Flora MacGillivray; 5 sisters: Kathleen McMeekin, Etta McMeekin, Bessie MacDougal, Stella Fraser and Margaret McMeekin; and 1 brother: Malcolm (Uncle Mack). Sincere “thank-yous” are extended to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion and to the Maxville Manor for their care of Mom over the past year. Relatives and friends may pay their respects to the family at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Glengarry Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 am. A reception will follow. The interment will be held in the spring at East Hawkesbury United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to East Hawkesbury United Church or The Glengarry Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
