Peacefully, at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, Ontario on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Shirley Smithers (née Brunet). Loving father of Rick Smithers (Beth), Terry Smithers, Angie Edd’s (Mark), Elizabeth Lynn Duval, the late Terry Paul Duval (late Tracey), Tracy Lee Duval (Norman) and Travis Frederick Duval (Lisa). Proud grandfather of T.J., April, Luke, Julien, Laurel, James, Ryan, Ambra, Chantelle, Brittany and Jade. Predeceased by his parents George Smithers and Jenny Smithers (née Ormerod). He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Jim Smithers (late Darla) and by his sisters Jean (Stan Mann) and Patsy Smithers. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at a later date.
