It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, June Eccles (née Norman), who peacefully entered into rest on April 25, 2026, at the age of 95, 1-day shy of her 96^th birthday.

A woman of boundless grace and unwavering strength, June’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She dedicated her life to raising her five children: Patricia (Rick), Mike (Katie), Norman (the late Barbara), Thomas and Cindy (Gilles). Her Grandchildren Serena, Lisa, Melanie, Joyce, Sabrina, Ryan, Mandy and Laura.

She lived to see her family blossom into a remarkable five-generation legacy.  Through her quiet example she taught us the true meaning of love, the importance of respect for all people and the necessity of being kind to others.

To her, motherhood wasn't just a role; it was a calling of the heart. She loved us so dearly, providing a home filled with warmth, laughter, and an open door for all to join.

Her legacy lives on in the compassion she planted in each generation—a gift that we will carry forward for the rest of our lives.

A celebration of June’s life will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glen Robertson Community Centre (22015 Glen Robertson Road, Glen Robertson, ON).

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness in her memory, honoring the way she lived every day.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital and at Valley Garden Retirement Home for the exceptional kindness and compassion shown to June during her time there.

For those who wish to express sympathy, donations may be made to the Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation for the much-needed CT scanner in June’s name. These gifts will help bring life-saving diagnostic care closer to home for the community she loved.
