In Loving Memory of Rita Ouellette (Lefebvre)

It is with heartfelt sorrow, yet deep gratitude for her life, that we share the passing of Rita Ouellette (Lefebvre). She passed peacefully in the home she shared with Gilles and Celine, surrounded by the love and presence of her family. Rita’s life was a beautiful testament to unwavering faith, a gentle spirit, and a heart overflowing with compassion.

Married to the late Alexandre Ouellette, Rita leaves behind her beloved children:
Claire Marshall (Dave), Pierre Ouellette (Lise Leduc), and Celine Martin (Gilles).

She was a proud grandmother to: Chris Marshall (Allison Walker), Jason Marshall, the late Samantha Ménard (Nicholas), Danielle Ouellette (Mikael Giroux), Patrick Leduc, Jonathan Leroux, Marie Pier Martin, and Emmanuel Martin (Arlena Lavigne).  Great-grandmother to Emma, Ben, Rory, Hannah, Lauren, William, Elix, Eva, Charlee, William, Samantha, Sandrine, and Lukas. Each one was a blessing she held close to her heart.

Rita was the daughter of the late Fabien Lefebvre and Annie Proulx of Lochiel. She is survived by her sister Therese Pelletier (Denis) and sister-in-law Jeannette Lefebvre (Elmer). She was predeceased by her siblings: Herve Lefebvre, Rolland Lefebvre (Mariette), Denis Lefebvre (Estelle), Cecile Crossan (Bernie), and Anna Michaud (Ben).

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2026—a date made even more meaningful as it marks what would have been her 103rd birthday. This will be a beautiful tribute to a remarkable woman whose life was truly a masterpiece of love and faith.

Rita will be remembered for her deep devotion to God, her joy in sharing Jesus with everyone she met, and her gift for comforting others. She was caring, giving, and loving—always ready with a warm embrace, a kind word, or a heartfelt prayer.

We are forever grateful for the incredible support from all the Personal Support Workers and Nurses who treated Mom with dignity and provided exceptional care throughout her final years.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse, mais aussi une immense gratitude pour sa vie, que nous annonçons le décès de Rita Ouellette (Lefebvre). Elle s’est éteinte paisiblement dans la maison qu’elle partageait avec Gilles et Céline, entourée de l’amour et de la présence de sa famille. La vie de Rita fut un magnifique témoignage de foi inébranlable, d’une douceur d’âme et d’un cœur débordant de compassion.

Épouse du défunt Alexandre Ouellette, Rita laisse dans le deuil ses enfants bien-aimés :
Claire Marshall (Dave), Pierre Ouellette (Lise Leduc) et Céline Martin (Gilles).

Elle était une grand-mère fière de :
Chris Marshall (Allison Walker), Jason Marshall, feu Samantha Ménard (Nicholas), Danielle Ouellette (Mikael Giroux), Patrick Leduc, Jonathan Leroux, Marie-Pier Martin et Emmanuel Martin (Arlena Lavigne).

Arrière-grand-mère chérie de :
Emma, Ben, Rory, Hannah, Lauren, William, Elix, Eva, Charlee, William, Samantha, Sandrine et Lukas, chacun étant une bénédiction qu’elle chérissait profondément.

Rita était la fille de feu Fabien Lefebvre et Annie Proulx de Lochiel. Elle laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Thérèse Pelletier (Denis) et sa belle-sœur Jeannette Lefebvre (Elmer). Elle fut précédée par ses frères et sœurs : Hervé Lefebvre, Rolland Lefebvre (Mariette), Denis Lefebvre (Estelle), Cécile Crossan (Bernie) et Anna Michaud (Ben).

Une Célébration de la vie aura lieu le 23 mai 2026, une date d’autant plus significative qu’elle aurait marqué son 103e anniversaire. Ce sera un hommage magnifique à une femme remarquable dont la vie fut véritablement une œuvre d’amour et de foi.

Rita restera dans nos mémoires pour sa profonde dévotion envers Dieu, sa joie de partager Jésus avec tous ceux qu’elle rencontrait et son don pour réconforter les autres. Elle était attentionnée, généreuse et aimante — toujours prête à offrir une chaleureuse accolade, une parole bienveillante ou une prière sincère.

Nous sommes infiniment reconnaissants pour le soutien exceptionnel de tous les préposés aux soins et infirmières qui ont traité maman avec dignité et lui ont prodigué des soins remarquables au cours des dernières années.
