C'est avec grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de monsieur Ernest Sauvé, sténographe officiel retraité, survenu à Montréal le 11 mars 2026 à l'âge de 89 ans. Il s'est envolé doucement, entouré de ses quatre enfants qui l'aimaient tendrement et qui l'ont accompagné ces dernières années.
Époux de feu Deborah Ann Duston et fils de feu Isaïe Sauvé et feu Cécile Lalonde; frère de feu Raymond (feu Jessy MacKinnon), feu Marguerite (feu Raymond Lalonde), feu Arthur, feu Maurice; et beau-frère de feu Jean-Paul Boyer, feu Yvon Allard, feu Francine Allard sténographe, feu Johanne Allard sténographe et feu David Duston.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Hélène (Nicholas), Marie-Claude (François), Rachel (David) et Nicolas; son ex-épouse Denise Allard; sa soeur Thérèse Boyer; ses belles-soeurs Jocelyne Sauvé, Colette Sauvé, France Allard, Ghislaine Allard; son beau-frère Noel Butler et ses cousin(e)s et ami(e)s.
Papi, ce grand-père formidable et attentionné, restera toujours dans le cœur de ses petits-enfants Geneviève Bousquet, Naomi Sall, Thierry Bruneau-Sauvé, Colin Bruneau-Sauvé et de son arrière-petit-fils, Éloi Belval.
Ernest était apprécié de ses nombreux neveux et nièces : Marie, Carole, Joanne, Marc, David, Susan, Paul, Michel, Marc, feu François, Louise, feu Julien, Céline, Estelle, Claude, Denis, Jacques, Sylvie, André, Nicole, Joël, Manon, Hélène, Michel, Josée, feu Jean-François, David-Alexandre, Shelley-Rose et Ansuh.

La famille recevra les condoléances, en présence des cendres, les 29 (19 h à 21 h) et 30 mai (9 h 30 à 11 h) au Salon funéraire Glengarry à Alexandria, Ontario. Une cérémonie religieuse aura lieu le samedi 30 mai à midi à l'église St-Martin-de-Tours à Glen Robertson, elle sera suivie d'une réception à la salle communautaire de l'église.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ernest Sauvé, retired court reporter, in Montreal on March 11, 2026, at the age of 89. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his four children, who loved him dearly and cared for him in his final years.

The family will receive condolences, with the ashes present, on May 29 (7:00 PM to 9:00 PM) and May 30 (9:30 AM to 11:00 AM) at Glengarry Funeral Home in Alexandria, Ontario. A religious service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at noon at St-Martin-de-Tours Church in Glen Robertson, followed by a reception in the church’s community hall.
